My bf broke up with me 6 months ago but lately has been calling an texting alot. Hes asked me a buncha times if i'm dating anyone and starts making plans but never follows thru. He has a gf tho dont think hes happy, is he tryin to get back with me or just messing with my head?

Sounds like he's trying to string you along. Keep you guessing so that he has a back up girl friend. I'd say tell him to leave you be until he's single.
Not sure if you two are trying to go back to being friends, though. That makes it a little tougher to tell.
Might start only answering every other call/text and see if the limited contact makes him back off or not.
