Does anyone buy flowers anymore?

No one's given me flowers since HS and none of my friends ever get them either. Is it a dead tradition or are guys my age being cheap? We talked bout it the other nite and we'd like to get them, wondering if its only us?

my bf gives them to me for my bday and vday but i have to hint any other time.

when my husband and i were dating he bought me flowers......i think that it might be a thing of the past because though he got them for me then, the only time i get them now is on valentines day....

I buy them for girls once in a while and they're usually surprised. For some it's the first time they've gotten them as a gift.
I think guys are missing the boat here, flowers aren't that expensive and are much less common than they used to be. When I added flowers to the Gift Ideas Quicklist I figured they kinda had to be on the list but wouldn't get many votes because they're boring. I was wrong, flowers rank #3 for gifts women would like to receive, and are almost tied for #2.

Guys still buy flowers but it's just not very common anymore. I wont let my bf get me flowers because i dont like recieving them..i never know what to say...anyways, i know plenty of guys that still get them. Its not the guys its the girls want so much more than flowers now.

I love it when guys don't get girls flowers. It makes my job so much easier. My new girl never got flowers or had been on a good date. I've gotten her flowers twice this month.

I'd have to say they are being inconsiderate duds...and yes, they are being cheap! I'd say that the tradition is still very much alive in my mind, just nowadays, only a few know about it.

Hmm... can't speak for all men, but I buy flowers for my GF all the time. She really appreciates them and says so. For me, the "saying-so" was key. I would have bought her flowers anyway, but since I know she likes them, I try to get them for her outside of birthdays, valentines etc. just to show I care.
Sometimes guys can be a tad slow, I'd suggest putting it out there to your guy that you like flowers (outside of birthdays etc.) and see what happens.
