First Valentines Day

Hey, I'm just wondering if I can get some ideas that I haven't thought of yet for my first Valentines Day with a girl I've been dating for about a month. Due to our schedules and the crazy weather, this will only be our 4th date. So without doing anything too over the top for fear of coming on too strong, I'm just planning to make her dinner at my house and either take her to a movie or let her pick one to rent and watch at my house. I told her this basic plan already. I'm also planning to have flowers, a card with a long note inside from me, some music and probably a small gift. Does anyone have any other ideas to add something special to the night? Thanks

The plan sounds pretty good, you're right about not coming on too strong this early. With everything you're doing, be sure the "small gift" is just that. The only thing I would suggest is to go with the movie rental instead of going out since you'll have a nice atmosphere at your place already with the home-cooked meal, flowers, and music. Also, make sure you have some say in the movie, it feels like you're being pretty accommodating here and that could make you a "nice guy". Pick the movie out together or have her call from the store so that you can help her decide from a few options. She'll like that you want to have a say, it shows you have opinions and aren't a doormat.

If I was close to a beach and the high temperature for Saturday wasn't 30 degrees, I would definitely take her on a long beach. Maybe in a few months

Get cozy by the fireplace! play a fun card game or any other game.
