HERE IT IS!

Ok, so.... I started dating this guy back in October. We dated for about 3 months and we had mad chemistry. However, during that 3 months mind you this guy was on again off again with work, family, and drama with friends. Come January, he tells me that he is sorry I haven't had much time for you and I would understand if you didn't want to see me anymore. I was honest with him, I was sick of the bs and him not making time to hang out with me.
Now February and March have gone by.... Randomly, I get a text from the same guy saying, I am sorry for the way I hurt you, I would like to catch up with you and do dinner sometime. What do I do? I mean is it going to be the same run around (I'm busy I can't make time for you). Do I break it off now? OR... Do I go on the date with the guy to see if it has a chance of going somewhere?
Update (April 01)
I agree I will give him one last try. I plan on making him work for it, no worries. If he screws it up, I'm cutting things off! Thanks for all the advice!

I'd give him a chance. The power's yours right now so make it clear that if he pulls any BS again you're done, and the guy will probably respect that. If you had such great chemistry it's worth seeing whether it was all that other stuff getting in the way or just BS. Worst case you confirm he was a jerk and move on, no what ifs.

i have had a guys kinda the same way except a little different reason why he was busy. I would say you should go on the date with him to see how it goes and what "sparks" fly. If you dont feel it don't do it but if you do it may be worth one last try and tell him this is his last try to see how hard he tries.
