Focus on The Dahling Dating Divas
I first found out about The Dahling Dating Divas through a link back to Hot Date Ideas that they were kind enough to include in an article, so I decided to stop by and find out what these "Divas" were up to. After a few minutes of looking around I realized "Hey, this dating site's kinda better than mine – it must be destroyed!" Well, a few months, and 3 or 4 failed attempts later, it hit me that rather than destroying this great new dating resource, maybe I should embrace that whole "internet openness and sharing" thingy and review it instead. Here we go!
The Divas are a group of married twenty-something girlfriends who felt like the romance in their relationships was starting to be pushed aside by jobs, kids, and all the other little bits of life. So they got together and decided to create a site for their collectively awesome date ideas, romantic tips, date foods, gift ideas, and everything else.
One thing I really like about this site is that the dates and ideas come from a huge list of Divas (I lost count at 11), which means there's pretty much something for everyone. From fun, silly dates or ideas for couples with kids, to crafty romantic ideas, and home-cooked meals, I'm guessing you'll find a Diva who's on your wavelength. Plus they've gone the personal route and included tons of photos from their dates, along with stories about how each of the Divas fell in love, so you really feel a connection with the different contributors.
Some of my favorites are:
- A "Back to School" date idea where you enjoy fun parts of being kids again – lunch, PE, and recess!
- Group TV theme dates based on the "Amazing Race" and "Minute to Win It"
- I'm not a fan, but there's also a pretty good Twilight date idea if you are
- Romantic ideas including gifts for each of your sweetie's 5 senses, personalized movie night boxes, and the "I'm Wild About You!" box of romantic ideas
