Cleaning. I know, you're thinking "Oh my God that's so romantic! Why didn't I think of it myself?" What can I say, they can't all be home runs. It's not candlelight and sunsets, but taking care of something that your partner hates doing is pretty unromantically romantic. It's all about putting their needs before yours and doing something potentially disgusting to make their life a little more pleasant.

So what are we talking about? For me it would definitely be the fridge – boy does that thing need a scrubbing. For your partner, just pay attention to the jobs they always let go a little long and one of those is probably a good bet. Think washing the car, yard work, windows, dusting, or one of the many other things that obviously needs work but they just can't bring themselves to do. Make it a surprise and make sure it's something they hate – the worse it is the better.

If they ask why you did it, just say it's because you love them.
