Sunrise and Cocoa

So this is what I'm thinking. The next time you're curled-up against your sweetie in the early morning hours, feeling comfy as can be, you should get up and leave. That's right. Leave. Slide right out of that warm bed, sneak downstairs, and make up a thermos of their favorite hot cocoa. Or coffee. Tea's ok too.

Then, armed with your steamy beverage of choice and a snuggly blanket, march back upstairs and somehow convince them to get out of bed and watch the sunrise with you. This will not be easy. A whiff of cocoa could help. Or selling them on the romance of it all. Lies may be necessary. Anything that will get them to take that first huuuuge step out of bed. And then you're off! Cruising down empty streets and past deserted shops to that perfect vantage point you scouted the day before, which may just be the back porch if you're lucky. Any quiet spot with a view of the sun as it crests the horizon. Pour a cup of cocoa, wrap yourselves up in that comfy blanket, and enjoy the feel of each other as the show begins. Black skies turning into a silvery-blue, occasional sparkles from the morning dew, and that first sliver of light announcing the new day. Beautiful.
